The Opportunity

We are seeking Environmental Services Assistant to work across our domestic services at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital across either our wards or our operating theatres. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness specifically to our operating theatres department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres
• Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas
• Performing laundry services, including washing, folding and transporting laundered goods where required
• Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
• Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved

Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

• Previous experience in a hospital environment but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
• Compliance with HACCP, Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control
• Have experience in cleaning services
• Be a team player and love to work within a large team
• Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work
