Job Overview
As a Marketing Strategist & Copywriter at Flowlane, you will be responsible for developing and executing holistic marketing strategies that combine traditional and digital marketing tactics. You will craft persuasive direct response copy that drives action, while also shaping brand messaging, positioning, and overall campaign strategy. This role requires a strategic thinker who is also an exceptional wordsmith, capable of leading campaigns that enhance brand awareness as well as drive measurable performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth research and competitor analysis to inform both traditional and/or digital marketing strategies.
• Develop integrated marketing strategies that encompass both above the line (brand awareness) and below the line (performance marketing, conversion) initiatives.
• Identify market trends and customer insights to refine campaign messaging and positioning.
• Craft compelling, persuasive copy for a wide range of marketing channels including meta/google/linkedin ads, emails, landing pages, social media, and websites.
• Execute full direct response copywriting projects designed to convert readers into action takers.
• Develop creative concepts and narratives that align with overall campaign strategies and brand voice.
• Create and refine messaging frameworks and brand positioning strategies to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
• Collaborate with creative teams to ensure that messaging and visuals are aligned with strategic objectives.
Campaign Execution & Management:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns from conception through to delivery.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams—including account managers, performance marketers, designers, and web developers—to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
• Optimize campaigns based on performance metrics and feedback, making data-driven adjustments to improve ROI.
• Utilize analytics tools to track campaign performance, interpret data, and generate actionable insights.
• Report on campaign outcomes and refine strategies to continually enhance performance.
• Liaise with account managers to understand client objectives and translate them into effective marketing strategies and copy.
• Contribute to client communications, ensuring that strategic rationale and campaign progress are clearly articulated.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, with a strong emphasis on both strategy and direct response copywriting.
• Proven track record in conducting research, competitor analysis, and developing holistic marketing strategies that integrate across multiple channels.
• Outstanding ability to write clear, persuasive, and engaging copy that converts.
• Deep understanding of direct response techniques and the principles of persuasive storytelling.
• Expertise in brand marketing, awareness campaigns, and performance marketing.
• Ability to strategize both above the line and below the line marketing initiatives.
• Familiarity with marketing automation, analytics tools, and campaign management platforms.
• Excellent creative direction and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to various audiences and mediums.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong project management abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
