Aurizon is currently seeking applications for a qualified Locomotive Driver to join the Bulk NSW business. This opportunity is open to qualified Locomotive Drivers who want to join a company that values its workers and strives to make work at Aurizon enjoyable and rewarding. About the role:

  1. Operate locomotives including mainline, shunting, and marshalling.
  2. Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
  3. Work according to Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
  4. Maintain a high level of on-time running.
  5. Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
  6. Provide high-quality customer service to meet business objectives.

About you:

  • Strong commitment to safety and Aurizon's safety strategy "I Know Safe, I Choose Safe".
  • Availability to work a 24/7 shift roster.
  • Experience with Safe Working systems in NSW.
  • Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
  • A Certificate IV in Rail Operations (or equivalent).
  • Current unrestricted driver's license.
  • Route qualifications from Newcastle, Dubbo, Gunnedah, and Gulgong are highly desired.
