Job Description

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Occupational Therapy interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Liverpool NSW.

In this role you will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage your day, with support from a close team of healthcare professionals and the resources of a global corporate infrastructure. You will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of physical and psychological conditions and support them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Your duties
  • Case management with support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Collaborate with employers and employees to develop injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Work with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Work across schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded programs
  • Assist individuals to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
  • Complete assessments (initial, workplace, vocational, etc.) to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers, and identify suitable employment opportunities

Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy registered with AHPRA
  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills and empathy
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
