Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements for new initiatives and the current complex system landscape to identify gaps
• Work with other designers, architects, product owners, and service owners to define solution design alternatives for identified gaps and systematically drive the decision towards preferred solution alternative.
• Align to the target state enterprise architecture as well as to the domain target state architecture, and be comfortable in calling out deviations and follow through to the resolution
• Ensure end to end solution design integrity and influence other domains solution design with a view to optimise the solution end to end
• Create detailed solution design and support the squads with build execution and path to production
• Provide specialist advice to the product owners, service owners, and architects regarding issues in the application of technology to enhance business performance
• Identify and resolve cross-stream, project and service team issues that impact the solution integrity
• Work both independently and collaboratively
• Anticipate and mitigate project risks, and adapt to unforeseen challenges
• Contribute to the maintenance of a central knowledge repository for customer master domain knowledge, design models, pattern repositories, relevant guidelines and standards, and project deliverables
• Coach and mentor junior solution designers in the team

Required Experience

• Extensive experience in understanding and analysing requirements and current system, leading to identification of technology solution design; including preparation of various design artefacts such as design briefs, API specifications, impact assessment documents, and solution on a Page
• Extensive experience in visualising complex processes and outcomes, and in conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely
• Extensive experience in designing cloud native solutions (preferably on AWS) aligned to modern architecture principles ensuring functional fit, scalability, reliability, availability, security and desired performance. AWS and Azure architect certifications preferred
• Comfortable working at both a management and squad level i.e. conceptually and at a practical level - including consulting to other domains beyond customer data platform
• Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with key project stakeholders with a strong ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to business stakeholders.
• Strong full stack development and delivery experience using one or more of the major programming languages and framework and evaluation of infrastructure and software options, preferably using Java based stack
• Delivery experience preferably in Customer Data and Banking solutions utilising Java based stacks preferably
• System integration experience in complex technology environments involving APIs (REST and SOAP), batch integration, business process orchestration, event driven integration
• Highly preferred: experience and skills in Oracles online and batch integration technologies (e.g. Oracle service bus, Oracle data integrator, and fusion middleware/application integration architecture
