Overview

The Senior IDS Platforms Analyst & Coordinator role at Flinders University is part of the Information and Digital Services (IDS) team. The role focuses on ensuring the stable, reliable, and high‑performing operation of key platforms and applications that support the People and Finance Success functions.

Responsibilities
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and conduct impact analyses.
  • Configure, test, and document new functionalities to support continuous platform development.
  • Coordinate technical change, configuration, and release management processes.
  • Collaborate across IDS teams to resolve issues and respond to customer queries.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders and support adoption of new technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and manage risks effectively.

About You – Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management capabilities.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and matrix team structures.
  • A growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to support and maintain COTS and SaaS enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles and change management practices.
  • Experience in higher education (desirable).
  • Experience in HR systems administration (desirable).
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant technical area, and/or equivalent relevant experience in an HR systems environment.
