About us ...

Ellerslie Farms Group is an agribusiness that operates one of the largest poultry farms in Australia.

We employ over 400 people across our farming operations based at Millmerran, an hour west of Toowoomba in Queensland. Our operations are vertically integrated, covering the entire supply chain from chick rearing, grain production, stock feed milling, egg grading, to poultry production. Our layer systems include Cage, Cage-free, Free Range, and Organic. We have in-house service teams that coordinate bird vaccination, bird relocation, veterinary, and nutrition services.

About the Role ...

You will need attention to detail, efficient time management, and effective communication skills. Immediate start with the potential for permanency for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your duties will include:

  1. Participating in the on-site roster, 7 days per week, 365 days per year, with the existing team;
  2. Working in various areas of the FMCG warehouse;
  3. Communicating effectively with Production to ensure efficient supply chain processes;
  4. Loading trucks and consolidating loads;
  5. Performing general warehouse duties including palletising;
  6. Ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently, in accordance with established work practices and SOPs;
  7. Minimising waste and maximising productivity in all processes;
  8. Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment;
  9. Participating in training to develop skills and knowledge;
  10. Understanding and complying with workplace health and safety, quarantine, and biosecurity standards.

About You ...

You will:

  1. Hold a current Forklift License;
  2. Have at least 2 years of experience in an FMCG warehouse environment using LF;
  3. Demonstrate basic computer skills;
  4. Possess a 'can do' attitude, working cooperatively and efficiently to meet daily requirements;
  5. Be accountable for your work;
  6. Thrive in a busy environment with strict deadlines;
  7. Demonstrate effective communication skills;
  8. Pay attention to detail and adhere to policies, procedures, and SOPs.

What else do I need?

  1. Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills;
  2. Reliable transport;
  3. Good physical fitness to work extended shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Please note: Candidates must adhere to strict bio-security requirements, including not keeping live birds, chickens, or pigs at home. You will be required to sign a bio-security agreement to avoid contact with avian species (birds, chickens, ducks, turkeys, etc.).
