Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Bars Leaks Australia Full-time $120,000 - $170,000/year

Reporting to the GM and Compliance Manager and working closely with the Office Manager, you will take full ownership of manufacturing and warehouse operations, including the quality systems that sit behind them. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a small team with real authority. You'll lead a small, dedicated team of 3 and work alongside them, just as comfortable making up a batch or packing a pallet as you are running an internal audit or reporting to leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the full production cycle, from chemical formulation and blending through to filling, labelling and packaging. Make sure batches are made accurately, on time and to specification, following strict safety and quality procedures at every step.
  • Own and maintain the quality management system in line with ISO standards (ISO 9001 or equivalent). Keep procedures, work instructions and batch records current. Lead internal audits, prepare for and manage external audits, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Own the accuracy of all stock, from inbound receiving to outbound dispatch. Run regular cycle counts and make sure the MYOB inventory system reflects real‑time stock levels.
  • Be actively involved in picking, packing and dispatching orders to retail and trade customers. Make sure outbound freight is compliant, correctly documented and on time, and work with logistics partners to resolve issues quickly.
  • Champion a safety‑first culture. Make sure all operations comply with WHS legislation, chemical handling and dangerous goods requirements. Maintain safety documentation, run toolbox talks and lead incident reporting and resolution.
  • Lead, coach and develop the team. Set clear standards, hold people accountable, and find better, safer and more efficient ways of working.

About you

  • Proven experience as a Factory, Production or Operations Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands‑on experience working within ISO‑accredited quality systems (ISO 9001 or similar), including documentation, internal audits and corrective actions
  • Strong background in production management, inventory control and order fulfilment
  • Experience leading a small to medium‑sized team
  • Solid understanding of WHS requirements in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Forklift licence (LF) mandatory
  • Experience with MYOB inventory or a similar system
  • Full working rights in Australia
