We are seeking a Youth Support Coordinator to join our school community on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role

As the Youth Support Coordinator, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Build relationships with families of disengaged students to provide early intervention;
  • Follow up on student wellbeing referrals for all year levels in consultation with the Guidance Officers;
  • Monitor student attendance/truancy and provide early intervention through stakeholders;
  • Organise and facilitate lunch time activities;
  • Develop and deliver programs that support students social and emotional wellbeing across all year levels;
  • Facilitate student check-ins;
  • Provide in-class support;
  • Present at year level assemblies;
  • Refer students and families to external support agencies;
  • Be a visible presence during break times by interacting with students;
  • Other duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Principal, Guidance Officer or nominated delegate.
