We are partnering with a Sydney-based software consultancy that has built a strong reputation as a trusted design and development partner. They're small enough to move fast (around 25 people), yet established enough to deliver critical projects for both fast-growth startups and well-known brands.

As a Solution Architect, you will take ownership of designing and delivering client solutions. You'll scope and estimate work, create scalable and maintainable architectures, and guide project teams from discovery to deployment. This role blends deep technical expertise with leadership and collaboration, ensuring solutions are reliable, high-quality, and genuinely impactful for clients.

Working closely with the Head of Engineering, you'll collaborate with Product Owners, Software Engineers, UX/UI Designers, and both long-term and new clients. The leadership team is people-first, collaborative, and committed to growth and learning. They foster a culture where staff are empowered to make real contributions while maintaining balance and flexibility.

• Lead the design and architecture of client solutions, focusing on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability
• Produce detailed technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams throughout project delivery
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with architectural principles
• Collaborate closely with clients to translate requirements into practical technical solutions
• Support pre-sales activities by contributing technical expertise to proposals and statements of work
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and platforms to ensure alignment with client needs and company strategy
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges during project delivery
• Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and best practices

• 5+ years' experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, delivering complex software solutions
• Proven ability to estimate effort, scope work, and deliver end-to-end solutions
• Agency or consultancy experience is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Their main technologies are React, React Native, and Flutter. Experience with all three is ideal, but strong skills in one or two are fine if you can adapt quickly. As Solution Architect, you'll own the overall technical design of client solutions.

• ReactJS / React Native: Designing and architecting complex web and mobile applications, including state management, component architecture, and performance optimisation
• Flutter: Building cross-platform mobile applications, understanding widget systems, state management, and framework architecture
• AWS: Hands-on experience with services such as EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway; serverless architecture experience a plus
• Headless CMS: Implementing solutions with Headless CMS, including custom extensions, API integrations, and data modelling
• REST / GraphQL: Designing and implementing APIs, schema design, query optimisation, and backend integration
