Role Overview:

The Financial Crime Surveillance (FCS) team, part of Westpac's Risk Division, focuses on detecting, deterring, and fighting financial crime. As a Product Owner, you will collaborate with internal and external teams, including vendors, to define and execute the product vision and roadmap for financial crime prevention solutions. Your responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing new opportunities for innovation, leveraging emerging technologies and methodologies, managing the product backlog, and balancing business goals, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in financial services or fintech, with a focus on financial crime or compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience with NetReveal.
  • Strong knowledge of financial crime regulations (AML, KYC, sanctions screening, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
