People and Capability Business Partner - Supply Chain

As a People and Capability (P&C) Business Partner for our supply chain team, you will provide effective P&C services to our supply chain office team members, DC Managers, and DC team members to ensure successful delivery of Kmart and Target's objectives and strategy, for seven DCs and 2000 team members (mix of internal and labour hire), across Australia and New Zealand.

As a subject matter expert, you will play a crucial role in analysing, executing & providing recommendations on P&C matters, in particular, ER/IR matters and investigations.

You will support succession planning, Learning and Capability programs, and talent development of Leadership teams across the DCs, as well as champion and lead Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, ensuring we remain an inclusive and equitable workplace.

Reporting directly to the People & Capability Manager – Supply Chain, you will have a passion for making a real impact. We're not just looking for someone with P&C expertise; we need a commercially minded individual who truly understands business partnership and how supply chain teams operate.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the Succession planning and talent development through robust development planning across multiple stakeholders.
  • Assist Kmart and Target teams through facilitation & delivery of learning programs such as change management and capability workshops.
  • Drive and support engagement initiatives across the DCs and Supply Chain - e.g. engagement surveys, recognition programs, Team Member Check Ins.
  • Lead and support delivery of cyclical Supply Chain performance and talent reviews, by providing guidance to effectively utilise the performance review process.
  • Manage employee and industrial relations issues and conduct relevant investigations into complaints and grievances in partnership with our Employee Relations and Advisory Centre teams.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance our workplace culture and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
  • Influence and coach managers and team members to model the desired values and leadership behaviours to create a positive culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address identified people needs.
  • Support Supply Chain and cross-functional transformation projects, as the P&C stream lead.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • A minimum of three years of P&C business partner experience, with proven experience partnering with Supply Chain in a large-scale, fast-paced environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology, or a business-related discipline, will be highly regarded.
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering results, actively driving a people plan and positively impacting organizational performance.
  • The capacity to be an effective and positive change agent, continually evaluating and championing change initiatives.
  • A trusted business partner that can build strong relationships, engage with confidence and influence to achieve key business outcomes.
  • An autonomous self-starter who is a generous and supportive team player, who shares their knowledge and time with other colleagues.
  • Experience in recruitment and induction processes with the ability to influence diversity outcomes.
