About the job Network-Security Specialist

Primary Skills:

  1. Evaluate and ensure security efficiency and assist in installation of appropriate network access to fortify security system.
  2. Run risk assessment checks on systems, maintain firewalls, update security procedures and monitor all systems.
  3. Be ingenious enough to anticipate potential problems and use analytical skills to fix problems and maintain system security at all times.
  4. Manage and implement all network security processes and maintain proper reports for same.
  5. Find security gaps by performing routine audits of hardware and software entities on the network and closing those gaps.

Candidate should have hands on and experience on below listed technologies:

  1. Next Gen Firewalls
  2. Routing & Switching
  3. Load Balancer - Knowledge on BIG-IP product suit such as Adv. Firewall Manager (AFM), Access Policy Manager (APM) and Application Security Manager (ASM), and ability to address complex issues.
  4. Thorough knowledge of load balancing / clustering (LTM/GTM)
  5. A strong understanding in security concepts in related Network security technologies such as network forensics or endpoint forensics.
  6. Knowledge on Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA), HSM, DDoS products.

Secondary skills:

  1. To assess and advise the security needs and protocol of the organization.
  2. Analyze security risks and develop response procedures.
  3. Document and develop custom tools in writing and CHECK, REVIEW, EVALUATE security systems for enhancing network security.
  4. A good understanding of standards, conventions and new developments in the industry.
  5. Participate in various network administration programs to accelerate multi-functional activities.
  6. While Network administrators are not programmers or system engineers, they must have a good grasp of programming and scripting languages as well as a good understanding of generally accepted concepts and conventions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree. Must have a minimum of 7 years of related experience as a subject matter expert in architecting complex networks.
  2. Good knowledge of various types of protocols that support a major and compassionate role in communicating with different devices across the network.
  3. Hands-on and working knowledge of Dynamic routing protocols.
  4. Hands-on and working knowledge of managing Firewall, IPSec/SSL VPN, LB's, Proxy/web filtering.
  5. Knowledge and understanding of Public and Private cloud infrastructure.
  6. Good information technology and analysis skills to solve problems and make organization-wide decisions.
  7. Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  8. Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  9. High degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to work under pressure.
