Are you passionate about environmental leadership and sustainability? Ventia is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our dynamic team supporting the Transurban QLD Network. This role offers a unique blend of office and field-based work and day and night shift, where you will play a key part in driving environmental compliance, mentoring teams and ensuring high standards across our operations.

This is a deliverable based role with annual performance reviews and autonomy to deliver agreed outcomes flexibly across hours and sites.

What you will be doing

Lead environmental assurance activities including audits, inspections and control checksSupport environment compliance with legislation, regulations and project standardsMentor field crews and leadership teams to embed sustainability into daily operationsManage environmental incidents and lead investigations with corrective actionsPrepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodiesAssist with sustainability initiatives and mandatory reportingCollaborate with subcontractors, suppliers and regulators to maintain high environmental standards

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering Management, or related fieldSolid experience in operational or major project environmentsExperience in road transport sector is highly regardedStrong knowledge of environmental legislation and reporting requirementsExcellent communication, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skillsICAM Lead Investigator and Auditor Training (or willingness to obtain)Valid C class drivers' licence and construction white card
