Overview

Join Community Kids Thornton as an Early Childhood Teacher (full-time). This 91-place centre is part of G8 Education and provides quality programs in line with the new Early Learning Years Framework. Our teaching philosophy is inclusivity for all children, and we aim to foster encouragement and kindness while supporting children to grow and develop. We understand that learning begins from birth and that a child's development is strongest from birth to age 5.

As an Early Childhood Teacher with G8 Education you will have access to extensive professional development and support, including the year-long CPD accredited "Teaching for Tomorrow" program delivered by Semann & Slattery, access to our online Learning Lounge, pedagogical support from Practice Partners and coaches, and a VIT Mentor Program for Provisional Teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate an Early Childhood philosophy with an age-responsive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery and assessment of high-quality programs in line with the Early Learning Years Framework.
  • Support positive learning outcomes through inclusive practice and a nurturing environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and utilize resources in the Learning Lounge and with Practice Partners and mentors.
Qualifications
  • ACECQA approved Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Teacher's Registration or eligible to apply
