Senior Electrical Engineer for IMMEDIATE START (Perth)

OFI is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Lead) with more than five years' experience in Industrial Electrical applications within Australia.

As part of the NRW Group, OFI has a solid pipeline of work that will give you experience in key sectors such as Mining and Resources, Government and Defence, Fuels, and Hazardous Areas.

To be considered, you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Reside in Perth, preferably near Welshpool
  • Minimum of 5 years' Post Graduate Electrical experience in Heavy Industrial Applications in Australia
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and membership with Engineers Australia
  • Understanding of Australian Electrical Standards, Western Australian Electrical Regulations, Defence contracts, and standards
  • Experience leading HV/LV design and power systems analysis across industries like mining and processing plants
  • Support engineering activities including specifications, safety, design coordination, testing, and commissioning
  • Power system modeling experience, including Earthing & Bonding systems
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs and demonstrate high competency in Power Systems, Control, Instrumentation, and Communications design
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and team members
  • Experience in Hazardous Area Design & Construction projects
  • Ability to prepare reports and specifications for electrical works, including control systems and design philosophies
