The Opportunity

• This is a permanent, full-time position based in Sydney, with flexible work and a beautiful office in Martin Place
• Be an early-stage engineer in a disruptive identity and security startup
• Work with a new, modern tech stack (TypeScript, GraphQL, Azure)

We're looking for a Junior Software Engineer who's ready to roll up their sleeves and help build something from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to join an early-stage SaaS company where you'll have real impact and ownership as part of a small, focused team bringing our product to life.

• You're disciplined We are a fast-growing start-up, and to operate here successfully, you will need to possess a healthy combination of agility, drive, and focus.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is a must.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior engineers to develop, test, and deliver product features with a focus on learning best practices.
• Assist in troubleshooting bugs and implementing fixes under guidance.
• Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews to build technical skills and understanding of the development lifecycle.
• Follow secure coding practices and contribute to documentation of features and processes.
• Demonstrate curiosity and eagerness to grow technical knowledge through hands-on project work and mentorship.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in software development, ideally with at least some of that in a startup environment
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, React, MUI, Azure
• A University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experiencewith Identity, Authentication and Authorisation, including Microsoft Azure and Entra ID, and DevOps and CI/CD is a big plus
