Hourly Rates: $31.31 - $34.12 per hour plus penalties

Respite Cottage Care Worker – what's involved in the role?

HammondCare's Respite cottages provide guests with individualised support from our professional staff and are ideal for stays of up to 10 nights. Our guests value that these are not located in residential aged care homes.

  • This Care Worker role will deliver care within our Mudyigaali Respite Cottage in Dubbo
  • Support Guests during longer stays or short overnight visits, providing a relaxing environment for older people to take a break from their home environment
  • Provide care for Guests in our cottages, including personal care (assisting with personal grooming), medication supervision, specialised care according to each client's care plan, and social support
  • Ensure guests enjoy the benefits of residential care, including specialised clinical care, assistance with daily tasks, a range of social activities, and freshly prepared meals

What you need to apply
  • No formal qualification is necessary, Certificate III in Individual Support is an advantage
  • First Aid certificate desirable
  • Empathy and compassion are essential
  • Willingness to learn; job training provided
  • Good administrative and computer skills, including use of a smartphone
  • Strong teamwork and professional communication; ability to maintain confidentiality
