What We Are Looking For

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Marist College, Emerald. We are seeking teachers across various subject areas. There are both full-time and part-time permanent positions available, commencing from January 2026.

We welcome applications from registered teachers who can teach in any or a combination of the following subjects:

  • Religious Education (Middle School)
  • Study of Religion
  • Learning Support
  • Science
  • Drama
  • Mathematics
  • Music

Applicants Who Possess The Following Are Encouraged To Apply
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Appropriate qualities, knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
  • Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton

About Us

Marist College, Emerald is a catholic co-educational secondary college situated in the Central Highlands, three hours west of Rockhampton. The College draws students from Emerald as well as surrounding rural areas including Gindie, Springsure, the Gemfields, Clermont, Blackwater, Tieri and many rural properties and currently caters for years with an enrolment of 556 students.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
  • Australian work rights
