About the Role:

Tonkin is now seeking suitably experienced candidates to join our Water team and apply their skills in the design and detailing of all aspects of our infrastructure projects. You will be joining a close-knit team that prides itself on professional, technical and collaborative excellence, while supporting Tonkin's multidisciplinary approach that ensures our clients receive the best solutions.

Reporting to the Water Team Lead, the primary purpose of the Water Engineer is to ensure the successful delivery of water supply and wastewater projects through provision of specialist technical expertise, project management and client relationships. The Water Engineer will enable safe, secure and sustainable water supply and sewage services for communities across metropolitan and regional Australia through the successful contribution of specialist technical expertise in our National Water Program.

About you:

Together with your exemplary teamwork, stakeholder management, written and verbal communication skills; to be successful in this role you will ideally possess some or all the following:

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in water and wastewater projects
• Strong working knowledge of current statutory requirements, engineering and contract standards.
• Working towards obtaining the Chartered Engineering (CPEng) Status (desirable).
• Strong team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
