Your Role
Join our Maintenance Team as a Carpenter and be responsible for the general maintenance, repair, construction and renovation of buildings, fixtures, fittings, and associated structures across the island. This is a hands-on, full-time role with plenty of variety, where your trade expertise directly supports our world-class guest experience.

Where you'll make an impact

  • Performing general maintenance and repair work on buildings and fittings
  • Carrying out construction and renovation projects as required
  • Responding promptly to urgent repairs to support guest comfort and satisfaction
  • Maintaining and securing Hamilton Island Enterprises tools and equipment
  • Keeping records of time and materials used for all workshop tasks
  • Ensuring vehicles used are clean, safe and roadworthy
  • Supporting other maintenance staff when needed
  • Attending team briefings and meetings to maintain strong communication
  • Undertaking other duties as directed by the Carpenter Supervisor

What we're looking for
You're a qualified carpenter who takes pride in your workmanship and can work both independently and as part of a team. You're reliable, professional, and ready to contribute to the ongoing success of our island community.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Carpentry (Essential)
  • White Construction Card
  • Driver's Licence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work autonomously when required
