We're seeking volunteers to join us in bringing the magic of Latin Kids Fiesta 2025 to life This multicultural family event will take place at Gregory Park in Milton, on Saturday, September 13, and aims to celebrate Latin American heritage, connect communities, and create lasting memories.

Success in this role looks like: welcoming families with warmth, supporting event operations smoothly, ensuring children's safety during activities, and contributing to a joyful and inclusive atmosphere.

Responsabilities

Depending on your interest and availability, you may:

  • Welcome and guide attendees at the event entry points
  • Support cultural activity stations and children's games
  • Assist with event logistics, bump-in/bump-out, and clean-up
  • Help supervise areas like the bouncing castle (parental support is still required)
  • Provide information about the event and help manage the flow of people
  • Assist with stalls, merchandise, or refreshments if needed

Qualifications

We value attitude and heart more than formal experience. That said, these skills are helpful:

  • Clear and friendly communication
  • Ability to work in a team and follow directions
  • Enthusiasm for multicultural community engagement
  • Experience in events, child supervision, or community programs (a bonus)
  • Working With Children Check (if supporting child-focused activities)
  • Valid Blue Card (Working with Children)
  • First Aid certification is desirable but not mandatory
