The Opportunity

Austal is currently looking for a Painter Blaster. The role involves assisting with general labouring, preparation, and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment. Austal aims to grow its paint & blast team and will provide full training.

What's Involved

  1. Assist Painters / Blasters with sanding, painting, and blasting
  2. Confined space entry and fire safety duties
  3. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, minimizing waste
  4. Uphold high safety standards and hold yourself and colleagues accountable

You'll need

  • Ability to safely operate general tools
  • Trade certification or experience in industrial painting / blasting
  • White Card
  • Previous painting or blasting experience (desirable)
  • Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Strong safety focus
