About The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our on-site maintenance team, working across a fleet of large-scale earthmoving equipment. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for tyre fitting duties to keep our operations running smoothly. In this position, you will be responsible for:
Tyre Maintenance
- Performing tyre rotations, repairs and changeouts for large-scale mining tyres including:
- 27.00R49 (Komatsu 785 haul trucks)
- 45/65R45 (CAT 992 loaders)
- 29.5R25 (CAT 16M graders and ancillary plant)
- Monitoring tyre wear and condition, reporting defects, and managing replacements
- Maintaining and managing on-site tyre stock
- Proven experience as a tyre fitter in mining, civil or heavy earthmoving environments
- Knowledge of OTR (off-the-road) tyre fitting and safe handling procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit crew
- HR or MR truck licence - desirable
- White card - essential
- Competitive hourly rate
- 8/6 roster day shift only
