We have an exciting opportunity for an associate or senior associate lawyer with 4-5 years PQE, front-end experience in construction to join our Construction team in one of our offices nationally, either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

About the team

Our market-leading Construction Practice is rapidly growing in response to increased client demand.

We continue to see strong investment in major infrastructure and energy projects and demand for advice across all stages of development and through delivery.

With a local presence in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, our team of three Partners is led by Emanuel Confos a renowned construction and projects lawyer with a long career in front and back end construction law. He is ranked by Chambers AsiaPacific, Legal 500 Asia-Pacific, Who's Who and Best Lawyers.

Our team brings deep industry expertise across energy and renewables, health, transportation, power, water, public infrastructure, property, and commercial developments and our team is increasingly called upon to support new investment in, what is often, highly complex projects.

We act for diverse clients including property developers, governments, contractors, engineering and architectural consultants.

Our team prides itself on a collaborative and innovative approach, supported by a national resourcing model that enables our lawyers to gain deeper industry experience at an earlier stage of career than perhaps otherwise would of occurred, and service our clients with local expertise, across international borders.

About the role

Our lawyers work on high-profile transactions for major clients in the construction and energy sector. Our lawyers deliver seamless client service ranging from entire project management, specialised advisory work and dispute resolution.

About You

Come on this exciting journey with us, as we look to further grow our Australian practice with an opportunity for an experienced Associate to catapult their career and development.

You will have at least 4-5 years of front end experience in Construction, and are ready to take the next step in your legal career in either Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney.

You will bring:

• an impressive academic track record with excellent technical skills and solid foundation in major construction transactions, including renewables. Experience working on PPPs would be preferred.
• a commercial mindset in all matters and creative solutions to complex legal challenges
• exceptional drafting skills with a keen eye for detail.
• the ability to seamlessly integrate into our national practice with the confidence to work across multiple jurisdictions, contributing to a supportive and dynamic team.
