About You

You are a self-motivated and resourceful, with great attention to detail and are proficient at prioritising tasks. You're willing to pitch in and have a 'whatever it takes' attitude and are motivated by personal and company growth. You have experience in HVAC engineering, work well within a team and you are passionate about coming up with innovative solutions to meet our client's needs.

You have a sound knowledge of the BCA and Australian Standards AS 1668.1 and AS1668.2 and are interested in technical projects and challenges, in a range of HVAC applications such as; VRF, Chilled and Hot Water, critical control environments, clean rooms, smoke controls systems.

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Are

• Work closely with senior engineers, project managers and site managers to provide accurate and compliant design and documentation including;
• Heat load calculations, ventilation compliance, equipment selections, fire rating system selection and registers, fire matrix development, mechanical electrical schedules and MSSB review, BMS and controls designs.
• Collaborate with drafters to produce fully coordinated workshop drawings.
• Preparation of all aspects of design and construction documentation.
• Preparation of quality control documentation, samples, technical data, commissioning resources.
• Follow the Climax engineering and design process and quality checks
  
  

Key selection criteria

• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Mechanical Engineer
• Applied knowledge of BCA, and Australian Standards, in particular; AS1668.1 & 2
• Proven ability to deliver heat load and equipment selection calculations, sounds knowledge of HVAC equipment and development of workshop drawing.
• Experienced in the use of Bluebeam and Office365
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• University Degree in Engineering.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience with a range of design software including Auto CAD, CAMEL, Revit and Navisworks
