Northern Health is seeking applications from motivated and suitably Enrolled Nurses to join the Enrolled Nurse Transition to Mental Health Nursing Program.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community, and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Northern Health is looking for enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses (EN) who have recently graduated or are currently working as an EN and wish to transition into the field of mental health nursing.
Mental Health is a specialised field, and newly qualified ENs wanting to move into Mental Health Nursing may find it difficult to get an opportunity to work in a Mental Health setting. You will work:
- Within the EN scope of practice and provide excellent standards of patient care
- In clinical settings with multidisciplinary teams
- Follow the policies and procedures of Northern Health when performing nursing interventions and procedures
We're dedicated to becoming a fantastic workplace and healthcare facility. We have committed to strengthening our organisational culture for the long term by following our values safekindtogether in everything we do and offering great leadership, training, and opportunities to Speak Up for safety and for one another.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a new or experienced Enrolled Nurse who is interested in mental health nursing and planning to open their horizon to additional learning opportunities.
- Well-developed verbal and non-verbal communication skills
