A leading, design, construct and maintain landscape company, focusing on residential and some commercial properties arelooking to take on a leading hand with their residential construction division.Based in Roseville, the main work locations are Sydney Metro - namely Northern Beaches, upper & Lower Northshore, Eastern Suburbs & Inner West.We operate from 6.45am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday.With an attractive salary package including:Company vehicle and fuel cardUniformsIpad, mobile phone (or personal paid for) and all the tools for you to work effectively.This is a long term proposition we are looking to fill. There is scope for company growth, so if you are looking for somewhere to advance your career, whether that be supervisor, estimator or running multiple crews, then this could be a great opportunity for you for the future.You will be responsible for:Effectively manage 1-3 landscapers / labourers / sub-contractors to ensure efficient construction progress.Manage project timeframes and materials to efficiently forward constructionManage material ordering and budgets.Participate in 'on the job training' for apprentices and junior staff.Ability to read and understand plans and written procedures.Complete construction to ahigh quality, with excellent attention to detail.Lead by example and show a strong sense of initiative.Skills and experience in earthworks, concreting, paving/tiling, decking/carpentry, retaining, fencing, garden edging, drainage, irrigation, planting/turfing, etc.Competent computer skills (email, project management software etc).RequirementsTo be successful in this role we are looking for the following attributes:Trade qualification (Landscape Construction – Cert III or higher)Current NSW Driver's LicenseMinimum 2 years structural landscape construction experience (as a qualified trades person) -Reliable, punctual, well presentedHard workingMotivation to move a project forwardEye for detailExcellent communication skillsProblem solving abilityInitiative and ability to lead by exampleAbility to work positively within a team, engaging well with staff/clients/subcontractors.Physical fitness, good health and core body strength
