About the Role

As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalized home care support to older Australians in Rockhampton, enabling them to live independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients' homes, so a willingness to travel is essential (reimbursed at 0.99c per KM while working).

We offer casual opportunities with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday, with no evening or overnight shifts. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a positive community impact, develop skills, and build a career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Domestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparation
  • Personal care including showering, daily hygiene, and monitoring health and wellbeing
  • Assisting clients to access medical appointments and social activities
  • Supporting clients with daily tasks and routines
  • Building positive relationships with clients and their families

Skills & Experience

  • Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
  • Strong communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the aging community
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (must be obtained prior to employment)

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration, to ensure client safety.
