Job Description

The Medical Engagement Partner at Montu holds a central role as the dedicated support and commercial representative for engaging new HCPs and clinic groups. The primary point of contact, this role ensures that Australian HCPs are well-informed about Montu's proposition, aligning these with the distinct needs of their patients and clinics with the best solutions available from Montu. The objective is to drive awareness, confidence and education of Medicinal Cannabis as a therapeutic treatment for key identified conditions, positively influencing Montu's perception, increasing volumes of prescriptions and referrals, and nurturing partners for sustained growth.

Responsibilities
Commercial and Sales Performance
  • Conduct needs assessments for HCPs and their facilities to tailor educational presentations to unique needs and Montu's solutions.
  • Serve as a commercial educator and trusted partner in navigating the Medicinal Cannabis landscape in Australia, ensuring partners are well-informed about Montu's innovation and proposition for HCPs and clinic groups.
  • Provide ongoing support and collaborate with support teams to maintain satisfaction and build long-term trust with prescribing and referring partners.
  • Support acquisition efforts with Key Account Managers within Leafio and Montu Brands (KAM) and transition relationships from deals.
  • Support prescribers with regulatory compliance through Authorised Prescriber applications, renewals, amendments and Special Access Scheme applications.
  • Generate and present detailed forecasting and 6-monthly TGA reporting support to partner prescribers.
  • Consistently increase Montu's customer engagement leveraging prescriber-focused platforms through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Support leadership's strategic planning to improve partner results, business development, community engagement, and long-term relationships.
  • Represent Montu at key industry events, conduct quarterly partner engagement events and educational opportunities.
  • Analyse partner platform engagement data to provide customer relationship management.
  • Keep track of industry trends and stay up-to-date with competitors and the community.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all initiatives meet partner needs and commercial targets.
  • Monitor industry trends and prescriber sentiment in the market, identifying key opportunities for growth.
  • Achieve targets on the number of meetings per week, satisfaction, and progress toward sales targets to support commercial growth.
  • Follow structured sales processes and frameworks.
  • Ensure all client notes and documentation are up to date in the sales CRM with timely and accurate reports on sales activities, market trends, and HCP feedback.
Relationship Management
  • Cultivate strong relationships with healthcare professionals, acting as a trusted liaison between Montu and prescribing partners.
  • Provide comprehensive insights into Montu's products, innovations, and applications to ensure healthcare providers understand how they can positively impact patient care.
  • Play a vital role in customer support, addressing inquiries promptly, and maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Collaborate with internal support teams for seamless communication and issue resolution.
  • Manage communications between partners and internal teams.
Product Knowledge and Communication
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of Montu's value proposition as a subject matter expert on available offerings to HCPs.
  • Provide detailed information and guidance on prescribing pathways.
  • Showcase the positive impact of Montu's innovations on patient care and outcomes, communicating features, benefits, insights and data.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to educate and influence key HCPs.
  • Participate in the development of medical professional community strategies and plans for products and therapies.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a highly successful Sales Representative, Account Manager or Business Development Manager.
  • Proven track record of achieving strong sales results to targets in a solution sales environment.
  • A demonstrated high aptitude for adhering to a structured sales process.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow through on partner contracts.
  • Highly skilled prospector.
  • Energetic attitude and a history of high activity levels in the field.
  • Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently.
  • Able to analyse data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.
  • Able to travel frequently to meet with healthcare professionals and attend conferences and meetings.
