  • Permanent, full-time role – based at our Mascot head office in Sydney.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer in the Qantas Cloud Platform, you will be part of a team focused on security, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will contribute to delivering value efficiently and becoming more adaptive to customer and stakeholder demands. This role is ideal for a positive, experienced, and motivated Cloud Engineer with strong technical and communication skills.

You'll bring :

  • Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Fluency in scripting & programming languages such as Ruby, Python, etc.
  • Experience with large-scale cloud platforms and AWS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with logging & event management tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, & DataDog.
  • Knowledge of CI / CD methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Automation experience with orchestration and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, and deploying SAST scanning tools.
  • Understanding of IT operations, Linux, and Cloud Platforms, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience monitoring highly available applications and core systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations (24/7).

  • Scripting & programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Bash, Java, Go.
  • Cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Automation technologies like Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
  • CI / CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Monitoring & logging tools like Datadog & Splunk.
