Introduction

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager, Service Operations to join our Sales and Service team. You will play a crucial part in the growth and development of service operations opportunities for the Australia East Region including all Australian States and Territories excluding WA and Pacific Islands (PNG, New Zealand, Fiji, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia etc.). These will include Repairs, Field Service, Expert Services (Including Digital Inspections) and Life Cycle Services (LCS) opportunities.

This position is mainly located in Brisbane though we are open to Newcastle and Sydney also. The role will involve up to 70% travel. You will report into the Vice President, Sales & Service Australia East.

Team you belong to

You will join a team of sales professionals who are passionate about putting the customer in the centre and getting it done together. The account management team works closely with our technical sales support, customer service, field service, business/product lines and other support teams to ensure a healthy business with high customer satisfaction. The members in our team are located across the East Coast.

What you'll do

  1. Deliver profitable business growth for Service Operations from regional site accounts.
  2. Create opportunities with the key people at the site/s and share those with the organization, connecting key interfaces.
  3. Focus on aftermarket service operations business, yet can identify the investment/capex opportunities and is responsible to convey the customer requirement to capex sales in conjunction with the Site Account Managers (SAM).
  4. Seek and coordinate for best resources and channels to be used for customer facing activities.
  5. Understand customer business and is capable to identify and deliver Metso based customer value opportunities and synergies.
  6. Drive Repair, Field Service & Expert Services activities together with cross organizational site account team and understands customer's opex related decisions and buying timetable in conjunction with the SAM.
  7. Identify LCS opportunities for growth and development capturing both new and current business offerings.
  8. In conjunction with the SAM maintains and shares information of installed base, performance and shutdown schedules and plan.

Who you are

  1. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Trade Qualification or similar discipline.
  2. Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  3. Intermediate understanding of accounting procedures including profit and loss, budgets and gross margins.
  4. Intermediate level of computer literacy in MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  5. Hold a current motor vehicle license and passport.
  6. Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time by motor vehicle and commercial flights.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent negotiation and persuasive skills.
  9. Excellent selling and presentation skills.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

Experience must include experience in direct selling and/or service to the East Coast of Australia.
