Congratulations on completing your Occupational Therapy studies, it is truly a great achievement and you should be very proud Applying for jobs & interviewing for your first employer can be very daunting, but it can also open your eyes to new sectors and industries that perhaps you did not consider. You will get to work alongside 80+ other dedicated Occupational Therapists in our NDIS division performing clinical services to participants aged 0-65 with various diagnoses and disability types. We provide the opportunity for every clinician to build a case load that aligns with their skills & interests. More importantly you will also get to work with an amazing group of clients, playing an integral part in their personal growth and development.

The types of assessments and interventions that you will complete include:

  • Skill building and capacity building
  • Functional assessments
  • Sensory assessments
  • Assistive technology assessments
  • Home and living assessments
  • Home modification assessments

You will work across various environments, including family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools, community, and/or ORS clinics.

Graduate Program:

You will be eligible to participate in ORS' six month tailored new graduate program. This includes reduced client hours, an allocated supervisor, weekly mentoring, graduate-specific training and opportunities to network with other new graduates and senior practitioners across Australia. Many of our leaders started with ORS in our Graduate Program

  • Provide the resources for our staff to be able to work from home

  • Give you ownership of your own calendar so you can book appointments to suit your schedule
  • Provide suburban office locations with free onsite & local parking
  • Give you the ability to work part time, reduced hours or a compressed 9 day fortnight (after probation)
  • An extra week of annual leave per year upon completion of 3 years service

Learning and Development:

At ORS we truly value the clinical and professional development of our staff. To support this goal, we have a team of discipline specific experts who all possess 20+ years clinical Occupational Therapy experience. You will be able to connect with these experts in one on one and group training sessions and they are available for round the clock specialist support in addition to your Team Leader & Manager.

You will also have access to internal Occupational Therapy specific and interdisciplinary professional development opportunities (Special Interest Groups, Monthly Discipline Specific In-services, and Multi-Disciplinary In-services). These are offered either live or in recorded formats to ensure you have access to the training that suits your needs, with the opportunity to pursue clinical specialisation. Opportunities to pursue external training will also be considered, with options to purchase training allowances through the bonus scheme available.

A few requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration or ability to become registered with AHPRA
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client facing role (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)
