Position Summary

As a Senior DevOps QA Engineer, you will streamline building, validation, and automation of operational engineering/DevOps solutions for large, complex projects. Your responsibilities include developing deployment strategies, implementing continuous testing, and improving DevOps practices within Cognizant. You will provide technical leadership, analyze system changes, support automation initiatives, and ensure quality, security, and compliance. Containerization, clustering, and scheduling using Azure Kubernetes Services & Azure Container Service are also key components of this role.

Mandatory Skills
  • 8-10+ years' experience in Energy & Utilities, Banking, or Retail domains, with expertise in Java, VB scripting, SAP, automation tools like Selenium & PowerShell, and Mobile Automation tools like Appium.
  • Experience automating banking applications using TOSCA, CA Dev Test, and system virtualization techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of EDW applications, middleware interaction, and system architecture.
  • Strong development skills for creating automation tools and emulators.
  • Certifications such as Rational Functional Tester, SCJP, and experience with automation frameworks.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA FICO, SAP ISU, and related modules.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies for system validation and documentation of requirements.
  • Follow coding standards, develop and maintain automation tools, and ensure quality standards.
  • Propose automation testing solutions and document findings and recommendations.
  • Deliver solutions using Agile Scrum, chair triage meetings, and provide technical guidance.
  • Conduct training sessions and oversee deployment and production verification.
Qualifications/Certifications (Optional)
  • Master's degree in Science or Computer Applications.
  • Certifications such as ISEB, ISTQB, Teradata, SAP, Six Sigma Green Belt are a plus.
