This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced senior HR leader to join a respected central agency entrusted to deliver government priorities through expert advice and services. As Director, you'll lead a highly committed People and Culture team at Queensland Treasury, driving strategic HR initiatives, fostering a high-performance culture, and delivering innovative workforce solutions to support a strong economy for all Queenslanders.

Join Queensland Treasury as the Director, People and Culture, and play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce strategies that drive the success of a central agency dedicated to growing Queensland's economy. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you'll lead a team of approximately 20 professionals across key HR functions, including business partnering, employee and industrial relations, recruitment, and health, safety, and wellbeing. This is your chance to make a real difference by delivering innovative, client-focused HR services and fostering a high-performance culture that supports Treasury's strategic goals.

• Provide leadership and operational management to teams delivering a diverse range of HR services.
• Offer expert advice to clients, stakeholders, and peers on complex people management issues.
• Contribute to the strategic direction, partnerships, and service delivery models for the People and Culture branch.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance workforce initiatives.
• Lead the development and implementation of Treasury's Strategic Workforce Plan.
• Champion a performance culture, using a coaching approach to develop team capabilities and enhance client-focused services.

• Proven ability to lead teams delivering diverse HR services, with strong prioritisation, collaboration, and resource-sharing skills to meet agency and client needs.
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in human resource management, including strategic initiatives and complex advisory services, ideally within the Queensland public service.
• Strong engagement skills with executive leaders and stakeholders to drive organisation-wide initiatives, negotiate strategic outcomes, and resolve sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
