About NBMLHD: Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District provides public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital with tertiary referral services across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate clinical education and staff development initiatives in the Orthopaedic unit.
  • Support the development and enhancement of clinical skills among nursing staff through education and training activities.
  • Collaborate with Nursing Unit Managers to foster a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
What You Will Bring To The Role (Qualifications)
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
  • Relevant clinical/education post-registration qualification.
  • Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with a consultative approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to working with NMUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values reflective practice.
