About the role

Our experts work with businesses of all sizes, helping to improve performance and achieve strategic growth.

We continue to experience growth and seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in the Southport office. You will be a conscientious accounting professional with demonstrated experience in public practice and will enjoy providing a high-level service, expert advice, and support to a range of client groups, including individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and general-purpose reports for various entities and industries.
• Conduct tax research and handle general tax administration tasks, including GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparation.
• Service a diverse client base, resolving issues and addressing individual client needs.
• Perform journal adjustments, reconciliations, and supporting work papers for clients' accounts.
• Build and maintain positive and personalised working relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Provide development, coaching, and mentoring opportunities to less experienced team members as required.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards.

About you

• Qualification(s) and/or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business/Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Demonstrated professional experience in business and tax advisory within a public practice setting.
• Professional, client-focused, and invested in developing into a trusted business advisor.
• Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to adapt in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
