Overview

Retail Store Manager role at HoMie, based in Fitzroy, VIC, AU. The Store Manager will oversee the flagship Fitzroy store and support expansion into a new CBD location, combining retail leadership with social impact programs in HoMie's stores.

Responsibilities
  • Sales — hit sales targets to fund HoMie's programs
  • Advocacy — share HoMie's mission with customers
  • Training — support on-the-job training for young people
  • Leadership — manage retail operations, collaborate with Programs team and youth workers
  • Drive store performance across both Fitzroy and CBD locations as required
About You

You are a seasoned retailer with a track record of achieving targets and leading diverse teams. You are empathetic, have strong EQ, and align with HoMie's mission and values. You are passionate about customer service, store management, and the retail industry.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Previous experience managing a retail clothing store
  • Passionate about fashion, retail, community and HoMie's mission
  • Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Values alignment with an "Empathetic Employer"
  • Experience leading staff development (training/coaching)
  • Experience with retail administration (rostering, reporting, stock transfers, online systems)
  • Multilingual is a plus, Mandarin is mentioned
Requirements & Benefits

Full-time role. You may work across stores as needed. This is a values-driven position with opportunities to contribute to advocacy, events, cross-department collaboration and program implementation. The Head of Retail supports each Store Manager.
