What you will do as a Senior Project Officer

In this role within the Digital ID Division, you will support the ACCC's function as the Digital ID Regulator by assessing matters against legislation and technical standards, producing detailed analysis, and making informed recommendations to decision-makers. You will have opportunities across functions such as Accreditation, Approvals, Compliance and Enforcement, Guidance and Policy, and Stakeholder Engagement. Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading specific work areas to deliver high-quality results, monitoring progress against project plans and timeframes.
  • Developing, enhancing, and implementing business processes relevant to the Digital ID Regulator's functions.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including legal and technical advisers, and building constructive relationships.
  • Supervising team members, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Performing procedural, administrative, and operational support tasks to meet team and division priorities.
About You

  • Managing deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Flexibility, collaboration, and positive contribution to team outcomes.

Relevant experience or qualifications in regulation, legal areas, regulatory investigations, cybersecurity, privacy, or fraud control are highly desirable but not essential. Please read the Candidate Kit for more information.
