THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and detail-orientated Quality Control (QC) Officer to join our Tasmanian team, based in Devonport. In this key role, you will report to the Southern Operations Manager and lead efforts to monitor, enhance, and evaluate the quality of pre- and post-packaged berries. Your mission? To ensure our fruit consistently meets the highest standards of quality.

In this DC based role, you will play a vital role in ensuring all fresh produce aligns with regulatory requirements and exceeds customer expectations, whilst overseeing and managing a small team of labour hire workers.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting site management in fruit coordination through assessing quality, shelf life, and travelling time.
  • Monitor produce quality upon arrival and provide timely feedback to growers and regional teams.
  • Oversee compliance with QA/QC policies and procedures across the site.
  • Conduct fruit quality assessments to standards.
  • Ensure QC equipment have been checked, calibrated, and meet operational requirements.
  • Support internal quality audits and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate the training, onboarding, and delegation of tasks for labour hire workers to ensure a cohesive team.
  • Compiling daily QC reports.
