A loving and active family in Burleigh Heads, QLD are seeking a nurturing and experienced nanny to care for their 2.5-year-old son and 6-month-old baby girl.

The family is seeking a nanny who is engaging, fun to be around, but also nurturing and calm. An energetic nanny who is able to provide fun, creative and stimulating indoor and outdoor activities that will assist in the children's growth and development.

A nanny who has strong personal values, is trustworthy, reliable, and able to form a special bond with the whole family and stay on a long-term basis.

Experience with young babies, toddlers, and caring for multiple children at once is essential for this role. The nanny must be comfortable with the parents at home.

Some light house cleaning/washing/chores and meal preparation when possible.

The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows:

  • To care for the children
  • Follow the children's routines
  • Play and engage with the children
  • Light household duties – including tidying and light cleaning
  • Help prepare and cook meals
  • Laundry

6 months initially with the possibility of extending long term.

Pay: From $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience.

The days and hours are 2-3 days per week.

Ideal days will include Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – 8.30am – 5pm. Hours and days negotiable for the right candidate.

The family's expectations from their nanny are:

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years nanny or childcare experience
  • Childcare qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience caring for young babies
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Blue Card
  • Display strong communication skills and speak English
  • Full driver's license and clean driving record
  • Basic cooking skills
