The RolePosition: Multi-Skilled Carer (Part Time) in the Permanent Pool, SOR. The roster covers hours from 7:00am to 3:00pm, 75 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required to meet needs across multiple sites within the NOR cluster.
- Centralised pool, allowing placement to different locations within the NOR cluster; increased flexibility for staff and employers.
- Rostered shifts may change on the day based on operational needs.
- No fixed site assignment; staff are deployed to various sites within a predefined group of sites as needed.
- You may be required to work at different sites within contracted hours to address clinical requirements.
- Expectations: Flexibility to adapt to different sites, workflows, and team dynamics; ability to quickly integrate into new environments while maintaining productivity.
- Support residents' physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualized care delivery
- Assist with residents' care needs in line with their care plan
- Assist with mobilisation and transfer of residents
- Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
- Support and advocate the rights of older people
- Assist with personal hygiene, showering and toileting
- Assist with activities of daily living, dressing and grooming
- Assist at meal times including feeding
- Assist with medication management, or administer medication to residents in accordance with their medication profile
- Maintain effective communication in the workplace
- Cert. III in Aged Care (or equivalent)
- Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents
- Previous experience administering medications
- Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview)
- NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview)
- Evidence of current Flu and Covid vaccinations
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Availability to attend a compulsory 1-week (Monday to Friday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
