The Role:

We are seeking a Store Manager to join our Merrell Essendon DFO store. In this role, you will lead, inspire, and coach a passionate sales team, including support from your Assistant Store Manager. You will work collaboratively with your Area Manager to drive sales in a dynamic, high-turnover environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the store to meet sales targets, KPIs, store presentation standards, visual merchandising, stock levels, wage control, and shrinkage management.
  • Motivate your team to achieve KPIs and added value targets across the store.
  • Monitor store sales closely to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals, recognizing outstanding results and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Manage wage costs effectively, adhering to weekly wage targets and rostering standards.
  • Coach and mentor team members to maintain high morale and support their development through training and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and maintain safe working conditions.

Candidate Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of retail store management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • A motivated, proactive attitude with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Passion for leading and inspiring teams.
  • Strategic thinking skills with a proven track record of driving sales and achieving KPIs.
  • Operational expertise in stock control and visual merchandising.
  • Experience in roster management and wage control.
