Role and ResponsibilitiesOur Child & Family Wellbeing Service provides early intervention support to children and young people who are experiencing early signs of anxiety, depression or behavioural issues. The service aims to improve wellbeing and enable participation in communities.
As our Case Worker, you will:
- Work from a child-centred approach to help children and young people recognise and manage strong feelings and build resilience.
- Offer skill building for children through strength-based, interactive activities.
- Provide whole-of-family sessions alongside individual sessions with children, or one-on-one sessions with parents to improve resilience and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
- Offer workshops, groups and community awareness sessions that promote social and emotional wellbeing.
- Ensure each family's preferences for wellbeing are recognised, respected and understood.
- Be part of a monthly intake roster.
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 p.a. of pre-tax salary for daily expenses.

- Degree qualified in social work, human services, psychology or similar.
- At least 12 months experience in the Community Services Sector in Early Intervention, Child Protection or Mental Health.
- Experience in undertaking comprehensive assessments with families and risk assessment/safety planning.
- Child-centred and strengths-based approach to working with children and families in a mental health context.
- Understanding of child protection issues and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
- Delivery of parenting support or parenting group facilitation is desirable.
- High level written and verbal communication; ability to document work clearly.
- Understanding of needs of diverse communities (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, LGBTIQA+).
- Current driver's license.
