About The Position
We are seeking Mental Health Clinicians to support the establishment of the Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC) in Campbelltown.
We have permanent full-time opportunity available. Full-time employees can opt to enjoy a rostered day off each month.
The service will operate seven days a week and candidates should be flexible and available to work on a rostered basis, including on weekends and outside of normal business hours, as needed.
This position reports to the Service Manager and offers the opportunity to:
- Provide immediate intervention and support to consumers experiencing crisis or significant distress.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine care needs and collaboratively develop care plans with consumers and their support networks.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological strategies to consumers, either individually or in group settings.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and external service providers to deliver integrated care.
- Current or working towards AHPRA registration (Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist) or accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker.
- The ability to engage effectively with consumers and their families/carers to conduct assessments, coordinate care, and provide referral support.
- Proven skills in delivering holistic, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the capability to work independently when needed.
- A solid understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
