Are you a passionate, experienced early childhood professional ready to step into a leadership role that makes a real difference? Scaliiwags Early Learning Centre in Goulburn is seeking a Director and potentially a 2IC to join our warm, long-standing team during a parental leave period. There will be full training before the Director leaves and support from Head office. This position has the ability to be longer.

This leadership position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid role, balancing on-the-floor engagement with the team and children, and on-the-desk responsibilities that support daily operations and compliance. You'll work alongside a supportive team, many of whom have been with us for years, and help us maintain our commitment to high-quality care and education.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading and mentoring a dedicated team of educators

Overseeing compliance with NQS, EYLF, and all relevant regulations

Ability to do tours and

Building strong relationships with families, children and the local community

Supporting curriculum development and staff programming

Managing rosters, staff appraisals, and operational documentation

Liaising with Head Office for streamlined business and policy support

A passionate, supportive, and motivated leader

Diploma or Degree qualified (as per ACECQA requirements)

Previous experience as a Director or 2IC in an early childhood setting

Strong knowledge of compliance, regulation, and educational frameworks

A team player who thrives on collaboration and connection

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Working with Children's Check

Current First Aid Certificate (Including asthma and anaphylactic training)

Child Protection Certificate

Leadership Course (Preferred)
