Opportunity for a Senior Corporate Governance & Policy Adviser to join this leader in corporate governance and advocacy, shaping best practices and influencing regulatory frameworks.

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Policy, you will play a key role in advancing public policy, driving thought leadership, and supporting directors and organisations with cutting-edge governance guidance.

We are seeking a driven legal professional with a deep understanding of corporate governance and regulatory frameworks. You should excel in policy development, stakeholder management, and delivering thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advocate public policy positions on corporate governance and regulatory reform.
  • Provide expert analysis, advice, and recommendations for policy reforms.
  • Represent the organization at external meetings, roundtables, conferences, and seminars to advance policy positions.
  • Lead and deliver evolving governance practice projects, including research, reports, and best practice guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to produce impactful thought leadership.
  • Analyse and research emerging governance practice issues and debates.
  • Provide secretariat support to policy and advisory committees, engaging with highly experienced directors and governance experts.
  • Prepare and manage committee agendas, briefing materials, and discussion topics.
  • Develop and maintain deep networks across government, regulators, legal experts, and governance professionals.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-impact governance initiatives and advocacy campaigns.
  • Drive specific organisational projects aligned with the strategic plan.
  • Provide insights and feedback for continuous improvement to enhance governance practices.

Skills & Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in legal, policy, regulatory, and/or advisory roles.
  • Expertise in corporate governance and public policy.
  • Strong written communication skills, including reports and presentations.
  • Proven ability to engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Law and Governance.
