Tyre Fitter Trainee
- 9 day fortnight | 12 hour days
- Northern Operations (Andoom)
- 18 month fixed term Traineeship
We are seeking (LAP) Local Aboriginal Persons Tyre Fitting Trainees to complete training and maintain the site's heavy mobile equipment, ensuring operational readiness.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform maintenance on HME tyres 24" and above
- Inspect wheels and components
- Maintain tyre pressures per OEM specifications
- Record work and take photos for Cert II qualification
- Improve equipment reliability and availability
- Conduct daily Tyre Bay inspections and other tasks
- Weekly tyre pressure checks and regular PM on heavy earthmoving equipment
Requirements:
- Current Open Driver's License
- LAP status approval
- Forklift and HR Licenses (highly desirable)
- Effective communication skills
- Physical fitness for outdoor tasks
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Word and email
- Enthusiasm and team spirit
