Lap Traineeship

Tyre Fitter Trainee

• 9 day fortnight | 12 hour days
• Northern Operations (Andoom)
• 18 month fixed term Traineeship

We are seeking (LAP) Local Aboriginal Persons Tyre Fitting Trainees to complete training and maintain the site's heavy mobile equipment, ensuring operational readiness.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance on HME tyres 24" and above
• Inspect wheels and components
• Maintain tyre pressures per OEM specifications
• Record work and take photos for Cert II qualification
• Improve equipment reliability and availability
• Conduct daily Tyre Bay inspections and other tasks
• Weekly tyre pressure checks and regular PM on heavy earthmoving equipment

Requirements:

• Current Open Driver's License
• LAP status approval
• Forklift and HR Licenses (highly desirable)
• Effective communication skills
• Physical fitness for outdoor tasks
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Word and email
• Enthusiasm and team spirit
