Overview

Ventia is seeking First Nations Australians for Administration and Trade Assistant roles based at RAAF Edinburgh, supporting trade operations in Woomera. In line with our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) we focus on the following areas:

  • Relationships - we see that having strong, sustainable and respectful relationships with First Nations people and their communities is crucial to 'closing the gap' of disadvantage between First Nations and non-First Nations Australians
  • Respect - we recognise and respect the local customs and practices of First Nations peoples and their communities and the importance of these practices in preserving and protecting their culture
  • Opportunities - we are committed to providing long-term, sustainable employment, training, education and business opportunities for First Nations peoples and their communities


Position Includes, But Are Not Limited To
  • Administration role to assist Woomera trades. You will be based at Edinburgh
  • Support tradespeople with documentation, inspections, and reporting
  • Ensure completion of safety and quality documentation
  • Promote innovations and engage in ongoing training


Requirements
  • Must be willing to undertake a Ventia Pre Employment Medical including drug and alcohol screen
  • National Police Check for the purpose of obtaining a Defence Base Pass - Note these are assessed on a case by case basis
  • Able to follow procedures and work within a team environment
  • Current drivers licence
