This is an opportunity with an well established and reputable firm that has decades of experience providing expert financial advice and services. With over 40 years in the market they have grown delivering value to clients powered by industry leading professionals. The firm has three service areas including Wealth Management, Mortgage & Finance Broking and Advisory and Tax. They are seeking an experienced and passionate Tax Senior Manager / Director to join the team and manage a small team onshore and offshore. The role focuses on the tax compliance and advisory work for HNWIs connected to the firm\'s financial planning arm, with the potential to support the Director with the client base in the business services team across various industries including manufacturing, mining and real estate.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of tax advisory and compliance services
  • Provide expert advice on complex tax matters, including tax planning, tax structuring, and tax risk management
  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, business activity statements, and other tax-related documents
  • Collaborate with clients, accountants, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient tax compliance
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the tax advisory team
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the tax advisory practice through business development and leadership activities

Ideal candidate: CA/CPA qualified with at least 8 years of experience in a public practice with extensive knowledge of Australian tax advisory and compliance. You should be a strong problem solver with high analytical skills, excellent communication and client relationship management, and experience leading and mentoring a team. A tax agent license or plan to register as a tax agent in the near future is required.
